SINOPSIS

Sources of food toxicity are diverse, involving both biological and environmental in nature. Commonly, major biological sources of food toxicity includes viral, bacterial and fungal contamination can cause different gastrointestinal disorders, predominantly diarrhoea, cholera, typhoid fever and hepatic viral diseases. 

Food Toxicity; Fast Learning to Beginners reflects the shift towards nowadays scenario for those who have their interested in field of food toxicology. This course is a single course book that forms the basis study of toxicity in plants, fungi, bacteria and the interactions between them and food. 

Food Toxicity; Fast Learning to Beginners contained ten (10) main chapters, which has provide learning outcomes and comprehensive information regarding each topic, respectively. Additionally, to deliberately discuss the topics learned in each chapter in the Food Toxicity; Fast Learning to Beginners, there are also questions that can test student’s mind. 

This course is both a resource for trainers and a student workbook. It can be used for students in each level, from high school until university.

Dr. Mohd Adzim Khalili bin Rohin

Obtained a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Food Study (1999 – 2002) and Community Nutrition (2003 – 2006). He graduated frim PhD in Functional Food and Nutraceuticals (2009 – 2014) from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA). Working as a Director, Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and as a Senior Lecturer as Universiti Sultan Zainal Abiding (UniSZA). Currently, he is conducting a study of functional food usage on opiod tolerance and dependence.

Norhaslinda Binti Ridzwan

Obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) in Dietetics (2011 – 2015). She is persuing her Master’s Degree at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) (2016 – 2019). Currently, she is studying on the effectiveness of pomegranate extract on cell culture and animal study for opioid tolerance and dependence.
